LUMA STL Personal-Use License

Plain-English summary: the file is yours to print for yourself, forever. It isn't yours to sell or share. That's the whole deal — details below.

What you're buying

When you purchase an STL file of a lampshade you designed in the LUMA designer at DrMaker3D.com, you receive a digital copy of the print-ready 3D model file(s) for that specific design (the shade, plus the inner diffuser if your design includes one). The underlying parametric design system, the LUMA software, and the design itself remain the intellectual property of DrMaker3D LLC.

What you may do

  • Print it for yourself, as many times as you like — on your own printer or through a print service acting on your behalf.
  • Give printed copies as personal gifts.
  • Modify the file for your own personal use (scaling, repairs, remixing for your own home).
  • Keep it forever — this license doesn't expire.

What you may not do

  • No selling prints. Printed copies of this design may not be sold, whether individually, at craft fairs, or through any marketplace or store.
  • No sharing or reselling the file. The STL may not be redistributed, uploaded to file-sharing or model sites (free or paid), included in bundles, or transferred to another person.
  • No commercial use of the design — including using it or derivatives of it in products, services, or marketing — without a separate written license from DrMaker3D LLC.
  • No claiming authorship of the design or the LUMA design system.

The practical stuff

  • Delivery: your STL is attached to your order at checkout and also emailed to you within 24 hours of purchase.
  • Refunds: because digital files can't be returned, STL purchases are final once delivered — but if your file has a genuine printability defect, we'll fix it or refund it. Just contact us.
  • Support: the file is provided for FDM printing in vase mode. We're happy to share the print settings we use, but we can't troubleshoot every printer — results depend on your machine, material, and settings.
  • Safety: printed shades are designed for cool-running LED bulbs only — never incandescent or halogen.
